We present you the bazlama recipe. In the middle eastern culinary, bread is considered a basic and necessary element in many meals such sauces or legumes.
Prepare the dough
Dissolve the yeast in a little warm water with the sugar. Set aside and let foam about 15 minutes at least.
In a bowl pour the flour and salt, mix. Add the Greek yogurt, oil and yeast.
Put as you need water in a pan and put on a high heat. Be carefull to not boiling it. Then pour the lukewarm water and knead very well, the dough should be flexible and smooth but not sticky at all.
Make the shape of bazlama
Form a ball and place in a clean container. Cover and let rise for 3 hours.
Degas the dough and divide it in 2. Spread the dough finely on a surface on a lightly floured surface. Let stand for about 10 minutes.

Cook the bazlama bread
Heat a pan and place the bread, bake until you notice a brown spots appear on the bottom and begins to swell slightly. Turn it over when the bread takes a nice color, turn the bread over and bake for a few more minutes. Don’t le it burn especially the edges.
Wrap the bread in a clean cloth to keep it warm. Repeat the same operation with the second loaf.
Serve the Turkish bazlama
Keeps well in a Ziploc bag. When it’s ready to serve , cut it in halves and serve it with cheese as you desire or any types of sauces you desire.
