Here is an authentic and traditional recipe of the Indonesian vegetarian salad gado gado, famous for its spicy peanut sauce. A fresh recipe and healthy cuisine that will satisfy the taste buds of vegetarians.
Making the cream
In a blender, put in honey, soy sauce, lemon juice and peanuts and start to mix. Gradually add the broth to the mixture until you have a smooth cream.
Preparation of the vegetables
We start by peel the carrots. Then wash green beans, and mop them up.
Cook the vegetables in the steam oven for about 30 minutes or in a large pot of lightly salted water for the same duration . After you finish cooking , drain them.
In a saucepan put water to boil, then pour a pinch of salt and pepper. Put it to cook the eggs.
When the eggs are cooked, rinse them under cold water and peel them well.
Gado Gado Final steps
15 minutes before finishing of cooking vegetables, Soak the rice noodles in a large bowl of cold water for 10 minutes.
Bring slightly salted water to boil and 5 minutes before the end of cooking vegetables, plunge the noodles and let them cook for 5 minutes.
Serve all in a large dish. Sprinkle some peanuts if you wish.
