We present you the Nasi Goreng recipe , it means “fried rice” in Indonesia . Considered as a national dish in Indonesian cuisine, usualy it is prepared with pre-cooked rice and then fried with chilli and other ingredients, mainly eggs and meat. A healthy and tasty meal !
Preparation of the vegetables
We start by crushing the garlic in a mortar with chilli, coriander seeds and sugar.
Cut the bell pepper, carrot and onion into brunoise.
Heat 2 tablespoons of oil in a wok and fry the onion and carrot.
When it is golden, add the pepper, then the garlic / coriander / chilli mixture.
Cooking Rice with Chicken
Cut the chicken into small cubes and add them to the pan. Stir briskly so that it does not attach to the bottom of the wok.
Once the chicken is cooked, add the rice and mix with a spatula.
Seasoning method of the Nasi goreng
Sprinkle with 2 tbs of soy sauces and season with salt (not too much because of the soy sauce), grated pepper and nutmeg.
Put the wok over low heat and continue stirring so that it does not attach. Add chopped chives and mix.
Heat the last tablespoon of oil in a pan and cook the eggs on the dish. Season with salt and pepper.
Serve the hot rice topped with a fried egg.
