A simple and easy recipe to cook with just a few ingredients like oranges, puff pastry, sugar, cream and eggs,which we have in home. A gourmet recipe that plays on two different tones namely sweet and sour with orange and sugar. A genius combination of flavors that will please children and adults alike.
Making the dough
Put the flour, sugar and butter in a blender to obtain a sandy mixture.
Place in a salad bowl, add cold water, put in a bowl and leave in the fridge for 1 hour.
Turn on the oven at 180 ° C (thermostat 6).
Spread the dough in a mold 25 cm in diameter. Cook for 20 minutes, covering with parchment paper and dried beans, then 5-10 min without anything.
Preparation of the cream
Squeeze the oranges and filter the juice. Take a small amount of juice to dilute the cornstarch.
Put the rest of the juice in a saucepan with the sugar. Heat on low heat. Add the cornflour diluted and stir.
Beat the eggs separately, then add them to the previous mixture. Increase the heat and beat the mixture with a whisk until thickened.
Decorating the orange pie
Remove from heat and taste to see if it’s sweet enough. Pour the cream over the cooked pie shell.
